Results of DarwinIA in August 2024

Here are the results of the August 2024 edition of our seed capital allocation programme, DarwinIA SILVER and GOLD. We'll analySe the top ten DARWINs that stood out in both levels, as well as some interesting metrics about the edition.

As is our monthly tradition, let's delve into the unique insights regarding the performance of our trading community! Join us as we uncover everything related to our participants, including their returns, drawdowns, allocated seed capital, and much more:

DarwinIA SILVER 

DarwinIA SILVER is the first level of our programme, designed for traders who are beginning to build their track records. Seed capital allocations in this tier are maintained for three consecutive months and are based on the trader’s ability to generate returns over six-month periods.

7,293 traders participated in the August 2024 edition of DarwinIA SILVER, resulting in a remarkable total seed capital allocation of €39,975,000!

This pool of seed capital allocation was split among our top-performing 1,112 DARWINs, with 212 traders receiving allocation in their first month of participating in DarwinIA SILVER.

Spain, UK and the USA were the three top countries with the most participants out of a total of 97 countries that were represented during the whole edition.

In the table below, you can see the top 10 DARWINs and their final ranking in SILVER along with their month’s return, 6 months’ return, 6 months’ drawdown, allocation received, historical seed capital accumulated, and beginning date of their track record:

Out of these top 10, the following DARWINs deserve special mention:

• MSDK as the winner with a rating of 98.64
• MSDK as the best debutant
• MSDK with the best return (18.19%)
• YHLF with the best streak (10 consecutive allocations since November 2023)
  

As previously seen, the highest recipient return during the month was for the DARWIN MSDK with 18.19% in August. On the contrary, DARWIN ITAX got the lowest return with -2.66%, but still received an allocation of €30,000. The median return in August among all recipients was 3.30%.

Regarding the participant's return during the last 6 months, the median was 9.83%. The DARWIN PVKS got the highest 6M  return with 37.59%, and the DARWIN JQVG presented the lowest with a 6M return of 4.06%. However, JQVG still received an allocation of €30,000 because it reached the minimum rating of 75.

In relation to the last 6 months' recipient drawdown, the median among participants was -5.57%. DARWIN TWGL got the highest 6M drawdown with a -26.71% (still getting an allocation of €30,000). On the contrary, DARWIN JVCW got the lowest drawdown with a -0.84%.

DarwinIA GOLD

DarwinIA GOLD is the second level of our programme where the top traders of the platform need to outperform the market month after month. To progress to this level, you’ll need to accrue a minimum track record of 8 months and achieve mid-term returns consistently. 

Seed capital allocations in this tier are maintained for six consecutive months and only depend on the trader's current month’s return.

In the August edition, 168 traders participated in DarwinIA GOLD and a total of €5,780,000 in seed capital was allocated. Out of the total participants, 62 DARWINs received an allocation. 

Spain, Italy and Germany were the three top countries with the most participants out of a total of 39 countries that were represented during the whole edition.

In the following table, you can see the top 10 DARWINs in the final ranking of GOLD in August and their month’s return, seed capital allocation received, historical seed capital accumulated, and beginning date of their track record:

Among the top 10 DARWINs, the following ones deserve a special mention: 

• ELX as the winner with a return of 7.52%
• MQOH as the best debutant (ranked 39 in its first participation in GOLD) 
• UZJ with the biggest current allocation (€945,000)
• PFD with the best streak (5 consecutive allocations since April 2024)
  

As we can see, the DARWIN ELX accomplished the highest month’s return with 7.52% in August 2024. On the contrary, DARWIN PZQ got the lowest with a 0.81% return, but still got an allocation of €50,000. The median return among all recipients was 2.52%.
