Optimization Over Activity
Many traders feel the pressure to be active every single day the market is open. This is a habit from the corporate world, not a requirement for generating alpha. Your strategy likely has a specific rhythm or volatility profiles or liquidity flows that make certain days highly profitable and others a consistent drag on your P&L.
Check your Return distribution by day of the week in the Analytics tab. You might find that while you print money on Mondays, you slowly give it back every Tuesday. If the data shows a leak, plug it. The goal isn't to work harder. It is to protect your capital from setups that don't serve your edge. Sometimes, the most profitable trade you can take is the day off.
